***Working on making a fresh batch of these this week (5/21/13)..they'll be ready to ship first thing next week.***
The Natasha crowns are finally back! After a several year hiatus, and many, many requests for this style once more, I'm finally able to start making these again. The original crown featured gorgeous handmade Indian jewelry components. But due to my own concerns with durability, and inconsistency in dye lots, I pulled the plug on the style. I just assumed I'd be able to find a suitable replacement components elsewhere. After dozens of tests with other products, I just wasn't getting the results I wanted. it became a case of "If you want it done right, then do it yourself."
So in the fall of '11 until just last week (Spring '12) I have FINALLY come up with reproduction components that I am proud to show.
I have tested dozens of moldmaking techniques and compounds. and a half dozen kinds of acrylics...and yet another half dozen kinds of finishes! So these crowns are truly a labor of love.
The styling of this crown is EXACTLY like the original. I was able to make molds from those old fragile pieces. The material that I am offering these in now is a very durable acrylic. No need to worry about chips, cracks, flaking, etc. each peace is securely affixed to a rigid metal crown base. These crowns can definitely stand the test of time.
I created a burnished finish on each piece...this listing is for the Gold accented Ivory. I have used 2 different sizes of Swarovski components to accent each component. The entire crown has been sealed to help protect the burnished Gold finish.
Price listed is for the set of 2 crowns.
