Shown: Nickel Icon (oval) and Pickled Oak Icon (oval). Also available: icons in copper or brass. The oval shape loos beautiful in the small case, and the medium and large cases would feature round versions of these icons. I make these icons myself.




Imported icons from Russia--these are absolutely Gorgeous! 2 inches in diameter--same size as the round icons i make. even though they are round, they work really well in the small case...and of course the medium and large cases, too. there are 3 depictions of the Theotokos and Christ from which you may choose.

Small Cases--Will accomodate most crown sets. Overall measurements: 15" x 12" x ~3" (interior depth is 1.5". Small cases display the crowns overlapped, so crowns can be no taller than .75") $215.00

****COMING SOON (between thanksgiving and Christmas)-an X-deep Small. so you can display your taller crowns in an overlapped manner without going to the "Large case"

 

Medium Cases--Will accomodate the vast majority of sets. Overall measurements: 19" x 13" x ~3" (interior depth is 1.5". Medium cases display the crowns side by side, so crowns can be as tall as 1.5") $245

 

Large Cases (not shown)--Will accomodate the tallest of crowns. The L x W dimensions are the same as the medium (19" x 13") Only the depth is different. the large cases have an interior depth of 2.5" $250.00

Super Sleek Barrel hinges and clasp. Hardware is only available in Brass.

Overall look inside. The "windows" are scratch resistant Lexan (i.e. really high quality plexiglass..better than actual glass)

Corners...on the lighter finishes, you may be able to see the filled holes from the case construction. These are very minor dots, as you can see. Not noticeable on the darker stains. Every care has been taken to ensure that aesthetics, functionality, and quality construction work together in these cases, rather than against one another.

Back details
We really put a lot of thought into the back panel....The 1/2" plywood bottom is strong and sturdy. I've covered it in a white moleskin fabric (if you would prefer a different color, please email me). Hardware for hanging the case on the wall comes already installed. The panel is recessed enough that, if you decide to display the case on a bookshelf or coffee table, the hardware will NOT scratch up the surface. Additionally, plastic bumper feet have been added to help protect whatever surface comes in contact with the case (...and to protect your case from it...). I have used Rigid framing points, in addition to wood glue, to permanently seal the bottom of the case.

 

Interior hanging hardware/icons

Icons: You may choose to NOT have an icon installed in your case. Otherwise, The default icon is going a solid Oak icon that I've engraved myself and stained Pickled Oak. This finsih looks beautiful with all of the cases. The small cases feature Oval icons, whereas the medium and large cases feature round icons. I do hope to expand the icon options in the coming weeks and months, I'm just working out the kinks of some other materials.

 

Hanging hardware: My presumption is that most people will be hanging their cases, in which case, interior hardware from which your crowns may hang is essential. But if you plan on displaying your crowns on a flat surface and do not want the hanging hardware installed, LET ME KNOW! I will still include it with the shipment, should you ever change your mind. I will also include a template for easy Hook placement.

Your crown height will determine the exact kind of hook I will use (taller crowns will not be held decurely with those little cup hooks currently shown. Instead I would use shoulder hooks (imagine an "L" shaped hook. still very minial in appearance.

 

I can only get the shown cup hooks in brass.

I am able to get the shoulder hooks in zinc plated (i.e. silver). So if your crown set is silver, and you would like coordinating silver hardware, let me know.


 

Engraving:

You may have an engraved plaque added to the case! $20.00 for the plaque..and you may select from brass or aluminum. see engraving page for font options. and I'll post a picture of an engraved case as soon as I can.
